CDL APPOINTS NEW MD/CEO
The Board of Directors of CONSOLIDATED DISCOUNTS LIMITED has appointed
Mr. Mudashiru Adeleke Shittu, AICA, FCTI,FCA, as the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of the Company with effect from August 2, 2010.
Mr. Shittu succeeds Mr. Steve Akinretoye who retired recently in accordance with the Company's policy on age after 14 years of service to the Company, 4 of which were in the capacity of Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer. Until his appointment, Mr. Shittu was the General Manager/Chief Operating Officer of the Company and had served in other capacities including Head-Settlement, Financial Controller, Assistant General Manager-Business Support Group, Deputy General Manager-Operations, General Manager and Chief Operating Officer.
An alumnus of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Mr. Shittu graduated in Accounting in 1985 and holds an MBA in Finnce from the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Kano. Also, an alumnus of Ashbridge Business School, United Kingdom, he is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, a member of the International Who's Who of Professionals and an Associate of the Institute of Credit Administration.
A versatile and seasoned corporate executive with over twenty-three years of professional banking experience, Leke, as he is fondly called, started his banking career as a Financial Analyst with International Merchant Bank Plc in 1987 before joining Rims Merchant Bank Limited in 1992 where he rose to the position of Head of Treasury.
Leke is vastly exposed to local and international general management and leadership training programs. He is married and blessed with children.
