A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Mrs. ‘Femi Owopetu obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy and a Master’s degree in Banking & Finance from the University of Maiduguri and the University of Lagos respectively. She has numerous years of experience in the accounting professional practice and banking. She is also a Chartered Stockbroker.
Mrs. Owopetu began her career with KPMG (a firm of Chartered Accountants) and later moved to the Credit and Marketing Department of Rims Merchant Bank Limited before joining Consolidated Discounts Limited's Dealing Team. She brought her vast experience and exposure in the finance industry to fortify CDL’s securities trading. As head of the dealing team, she is responsible for overseeing the Money market and Fixed Income desks which include trading in Treasury Bills and Bonds.
Femi has attended senior management, treasury, credit and securities trading courses in Nigeria and overseas. She is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School of Pan African University. She has also served in various executive positions in the Money Market Association of Nigeria.
